Choir Director "Music speaks all languages" Congratulations to Kelsey Yate for giving an outstanding performance with the All-Va. Choir held in Lynchburg on Saturday, April 28th, at E.C. Glass High School Our Choral Students will be traveling to the SVCC campus on Friday, April 20th, to see, "The Telephone", a comic opera by Carlo Menotti. The Junior All-District Choral Festival was held at Tazewell High School the weekend of March 9-10, and concluded on Saturday afternoon with a concert for parents and the public. The mixed choir was under the directions of Lu Ann Holden, from Lee University, while the ladies choir was directed by Shea Clay of King College. Both Choirs gave an outstanding performance. Congratulations students! Congratulations to Ms. Kelsey Yates for placing 1st in All. Va. Alto I auditions. Also, congratulations to Landon Hieatt, who made 1st alternate, Bass 2 Kelsey will travel to Lynchburg in April to represent Tazewell Co. at the All-Va. Chorus Event. Virginia Honors Choir Auditions: Oct. 1, @Longwood College (Seniors may audition) Jr. All District Auditions: Nov. 5, Marion Middle School, Marion, Va. Our bus will be leaving T.H.S. @ 6:15 a.m. Congratulations to the following students for making Jr. All-District Choir. From Tazewell High: Lavonne Williams, Matthew Mullins and first alternate, Emily Hackney From Tazewell Middle: Hannah Kennedy, Raquel Smith, Jake Laney, Bailey Boyd, Tanner Hieatt, Andrew Collier, alternates are: Madison Jones, Brenna Lafferty and Victoria Patterson Sr. All District Auditions: Nov. 12, R.H.S.Rural Retreat, Va. Our bus to Sr. All-District auditions will be leaving T.H.S.
