The following survey is for parents of students with disabilities. This is a great opportunity for parents to provide input to help guide efforts to improve services and outcomes for their children. 2011–2012 Special Education Parent Involvement Survey Tazewell County Public Schools provides special education services to approximately 1100 students. All eligible students receive instruction designed to meet their unique needs. Available services include a variety of instructional models that are determined by a committee that includes the parents and, if appropriate, the student. Students suspected of having a disability may be referred by a parent, teacher, or other interested party to the Supervisor of Special Programs or to the Child Study Committee at the child's school.
