Tazewell High School participates each year in the Linwood A. Holton Governor's School from Abingdon, Virginia. The school provides internet-based classroom instruction on subjects that are not available at THS. These include AP Anatomy, AP Chemistry, Western & World Civilization, and AP Statistics.

   Students take classes every morning beginning at 7:20 in the Fiber Optics Room, where they are supervised by a THS faculty member. The Governor's School brings the opportunity for higher education into Southwest Virginia on a daily basis. For more information, click on the link below.
