Jr. Advisor: Sarah DaltonThroughout the year the Tazewell Chapter FFA members will have the chance to compete in several Career Development Events (CDE's): Livestock, horse, meats, dairy, forestry, cattle working, creed speaking, prepared public speaking, parliamentary procedure, and agriculture mechanics. During the years spent in the FFA students work on their Supervised Agriculture Activites (SAE's) by working on activites dealing with their future career paths or fields of interest. SAE's may be entered and recognized at the state levels and proficiency awards will allow competition at the national level. Many activities are held with the Richlands High School FFA chapter such as bowling, skating parties, or lock-ins to celebrate FFA week in February. Students are able to particpate in many leadership activites to improve time management skills, speaking skills, critical thinking skills, and leadership skills.
