MAP is a nationally normed computer-based testing system built on 30 years of research and refinement. Students are presented with test questions that adapt to different levels of difficulty and adjust based on their responses.
MAP test provide teachers, students and parents with accurate assessment of a student's achievement, precisely measuring what a child knows and needs to learn. When MAP is administered at regular intervals over time, it is possible to find out whether an individual student , or an entire grade level, is making satisfactory progress in basic skill areas.
MAP data information can be used for instructional planning for individual students or an entire class to make effective decision in the classroom and school-wide in order to:
- Determine precisely which concepts the student has mastered, and the areas for academic growth
- Compare with other students in the classroom at the grade level or district.
- Watch students' academic growth over the course of the school year or over several years.
- Identify the needs of all students from struggling to advanced learners.
