Model UN The Model UN team competes in the fall at Bluefield State College. The team is open to seventh and eighth grade students and is sponsored by Mrs. Gess. Model UN allows students from different schools to represent various countries to resolve issues that occur around the world. These schools work together as if they were the real United Nations.

Science Fair- Every year, students at GMS are encouraged to participate in the Science Fair competition. Please see the Student Recognition page for this year's winners.

Destination Imagination- The DI teams are small groups of GMS students who participate in competitions during the spring semester.

Graham News Network (GNN) GNN is our excellent student-run news program. It airs each morning at the beginning of first period. Eighth grade students are eligible to participate. Seventh grade students should apply for GNN at the end of the spring semester to be part of the following year's news team.

National Junior Honor Society- sponsored by Mrs. Hatfield, this organization consists of students who show continued excellence in education by consecutively making honor roll.

Student Council Association- The Student Council Association is the voice of the students at GMS. Officers and representatives are elected each fall. This organization works to improve the GMS community and is sponsored by Ms. Hash, Mrs. Gess, and Mrs. Wickline.

Geography Bee- Each fall, students at GMS have the opportunity to participate in the Geography Bee with the chance of going on to compete at the regional level.

Brain Game- The Brain Game team is also sponsored by Mrs. Cockerham and gives students the opportunity to show off their intellectual ability in a competitive forum. The team is chosen through nominations from teachers.
