The Accelerated Reader Program is a supplemental reading program designed to encourage students to read books on their reading level.  The students select a book from specific lists to read.  After reading the book, they take a multiple choice computerized test which will have either five or ten questions depending on the difficulty of the book.  They receive immediate reinforcement by seeing their scores along with the questions missed and the correct answers. The points accumulate throughout the year. Each classroom is networked and has at least one computer available for students to use with this program

         This year Dudley has started the Accelerated Reader points program for the first and second grades.  Our theme is "Top Dogs in Reading ".  Each time a student passes a test with a score of 80% they will receive one Scooby snack and 1sticker for their doghouse.  As students continue to test on their books they will receive the following rewards:
